At least two tornadoes have been confirmed in Illinois and Indiana as the entire Chicago area on Thursday.

National Weather Service officials confirmed Thursday evening that two tornadoes had torn through parts of the state, including areas of Streator and another near Dwight. Weather officials are investigating a probable tornado that caused damage in Merrillville and other parts of Indiana.
