Ashley Mackin Solomon

Ashley Mackin-Solomon is a reporter for the La Jolla Light, covering everything from community planning, sports, science, the arts, personalities and more. She has been with La Jolla Light since 2012. Prior to that, she was the editor of San Diego Uptown News; an intern with a New York-based publishing company, contributing to parenting magazines; and a reporter for the Eureka Reporter newspaper. She earned her journalism degree from Humboldt State University, now Cal Poly Humboldt. Outside of work, she enjoys being outdoors, yoga, cooking and stand-up comedy.
