Falcon Seelster paced the fastest mile in Maywood Park`s 39-year history Friday night, winning the $15,000 Junior Free-For-All Pace in 1:54.
The winning time was only two-fifths of a second off the all-age 1:53 3/5 world record on half-mile tracks and tied Chicago`s all-time pacing record for the distance. Cam Fella won a mile in 1:54 in 1983 at Sportsman`s.
