When an apparently pregnant young woman is brought to the hospital following an auto accident, Kay O`Brien (Patricia Kalember) acts quickly to save her life, then faces suspension from the hospital on ”Kay O`Brien” (9 p.m. Thursday on CBS-Ch. 2).
Kayo orders a transfusion for the woman, despite objections from her father because of his religious beliefs. When Kayo performs an ultrasound exam, she discovers that the ”fetus” is actually a life-threatening tumor. The girl gives permission to operate, then later denies she did so, and Kayo is suspended pending a lawsuit.
