The Baltimore Orioles announced Wednesday that nonroster players Dave Van Gorder and Nelson Simmons will be sent to their minor league camp for reassignment.

The moves reduced Baltimore`s roster to 25 players.

Van Gorder, a 29-year-old catcher, was signed by Baltimore after he was released by the Cincinnati Reds following the 1986 season.

Simmons, an outfielder, played 84 games with Detroit in 1984-85. He was signed as a free agent by the Orioles last May after he was released by the Tigers.
