Last year GM paid out nearly $132 million in such awards under a 1984 agreement with the United Auto Workers.
The agreement took effect in January, 1985.
Workers who achieve perfect attendance in a calendar quarter get a $50 bonus. Workers with perfect attendance for three straight quarters receive $150 plus a special award of $150.
