Drivers will be affected by road projects beginning Friday on the Kennedy Expressway just outside O`Hare International Airport and at the juncture of the Stevenson Expressway and the Tri-State Tollway. On the Kennedy, only one westbound lane will be open on the bridge over the Northwest Tollway and the Des Plaines River in a redecking project scheduled for completion by Nov. 14. The work is expected to back up traffic headed into the airport. On the Stevenson, motorists will be prevented from exiting north onto the Tri-State, and southbound tollway drivers will be prevented from going east on the interchange. The work involves ramp improvements.
