Shame on Chicago for letting a piece of history slip away from our shores, namely the USS Silversides. Why wasn`t the city`s search for funds directed at delinquent real estate taxes, parking tickets, etc., instead of the vulnerable Silversides? Our mayor`s greed for ”rent money” overruled his patriotism and gratitude to our memorial to WWII veterans for a job well done. Congratulations, Muskegon!
