The Chicago office of the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission has filed a suit charging Oak Park Hospital with discrimination against blacks. The suit, filed in U.S. District Court, alleges that the hospital did not hire qualified blacks and selectively recruited in areas where few blacks live. The commission said the suit was filed when attempts to negotiate a settlement were unsuccessful.
