A 27-year-old man working under his car was killed when the car slipped off a forklift that had been holding up the rear bumper, Hodgkins police said Monday. The man, Richard Thomas, of unincorporated Du Page County near Willowbrook, was found dead early Monday by coworkers at Beaver Oil Co., 6037 Lenzi Ave., Hodgkins, Hodgkins police Sgt. Mark Wilkans said.
