Commuters who use metered parking spaces at Naperville`s Burlington Northern passenger station will have to pay 75 cents more for the spaces starting Thursday. The meters now will charge $1.25 to park for 12 hours, up from the previous 50-cent charge.
The meters are located around the perimeter of Burlington Square Park, and along Court Place, 4th and 5th Avenues, and in part of the Burlington parking lot. Construction workers began installing new meters on Tuesday and were expected to finish by Wednesday evening. The Naperville City Council approved the increase late last year.
