City Aviation Commissioner Howard Stanback has submitted his resignation, officials said Tuesday. His resignation will take effect May 19. Stanback already has accepted another job, but he did not disclose where he will be working, according to Aviation Department spokeswoman Cynthia-Val Jones. A nationwide search is underway to replace Stanback.
