The Lisle Village Board has accepted the $562,532 bid of Swallow Construction Corp. of Lombard to perform improvements to water mains.
Swallow`s bid was more than $100,000 less than the village engineer`s estimate of $665,000. Restoration work and sodding are expected to be completed by Oct. 31, according to Village Manager Carl Doerr.
The board also awarded Stokes Excavating of Darien a contract for a stormwater storage basin and recycling facility.
