Having experienced yet one more close call involving a driver paying more attention to his car telephone conversation than traffic conditions, I think it is time to call for a halt to this dumb condition.
I know the use of a car phone has positive aspects, but should other drivers (and pedestrians) be at risk for that phone call?
Our legislators should consider laws that would make it a violation to conduct a telephone conversation in a car traveling more than 10 miles per hour.
Safe driving is difficult enough. We don`t need people giving less than their full attention to their driving.
