U.S. Rep. John Porter (R-Ill.) will hold three public forums for senior citizens in Lake County on Friday and Saturday.
”The congressman holds these senior forums every year to talk about issues that are of particular concern to seniors,” said David Kohn, Porter`s press secretary.
The issues of Medicare, Social Security and long-term care will be discussed at the forums. But, Kohn said, ”seniors are concerned about other national and international issues, so the forums will be open to any topic that they want to talk about.”
The first forum will be 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. Friday in the Karger Recreational Center, 1850 Green Bay Rd., Highland Park.
The second will be 2 to 4 p.m. Friday in the cafeteria at Buffalo Grove High School, 1100 W. Dundee Rd., Buffalo Grove.
The final forum will be 10 a.m. to noon Saturday at the Shiloh Center, 2600 Emmaus Ave., Zion.
