Credit card delinquencies up: Credit card delinquencies and writeoffs continued to rise in May compared with year-earlier levels, according to Moody`s Investors Service. The ratings firm said 5.83 percent of the bank card accounts tracked in its aggregate credit card index were delinquent, or 30 days past due, at the end of May, 18 percent above delinquency levels in May 1990.
