The city has named Nathaniel J. Werner to the post of planning and zoning administrator.
The job was left vacant in February when Carl J. Tomaso, former planning and zoning administrator, resigned to take a job with the Village of Cary.
Werner was previously employed in Northbrook, where he was associate planner and zoning enforcement officer since 1988.
