The Du Page Homeownership Center will offer a free seminar for first-time home buyers from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday in the Bensenville Community Public Library, 200 S. Church St. in the village.
The session will cover home-buying basics, including information on finding a home, making an offer and obtaining a mortgage. A lender and a real estate agent will be on hand to answer any questions from participants.
Reservations are required.
In addition, the center soon will be providing free counseling for individual buyers.
”These sessions will enable a first-time home buyer to meet one-on-one with a counselor, determine what type of house they can afford and develop a plan to meet their goals,” said Dru Bergman, executive director of the center.
