Edward F. Hayes, 88, a former Chicago commercial artist, died Tuesday in Miami.
Mr. Hayes worked 63 years in the art room of the Irving-Cloud Publishing Co., a trade-magazine publisher in Lincolnwood. He graduated from the Chicago Art Institute in the early 1920s.
He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Laurel; a daughter, Helen Hayes Hoffman; a son, Michael P.; and two grandchildren.
Visitation will be 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday in Bartholomew Funeral Home in Valparaiso. Services will be at 1 p.m. Monday in St. Paul Cemetery Chapel in Valparaiso.
