Wells-Gardner Electronics Inc.`s first-quarter net income rose to $74,000, or 2 cents a share, from a loss of $670,000, or 18 cents a share, a year earlier. The Chicago-based firm said sales jumped 37 percent, to $10.6 million from $7.7 million.
The firm said the higher revenues resulted mainly from its sales of monitors for the video-gaming industry.
