No sale: Amoco Corp. said it has decided not to sell its Salt Lake City refinery and related marketing operations. After considering bids, Chicago-based Amoco said it will continue to own and operate the refinery. Amoco said it will spend about $50 million in the next two years for the 42,000 barrel-a-day refinery to meet environmental regulations. Although Amoco said the refinery and related operations are profitable, the oil giant said it will continue to evaluate its long-term options.
