Dennis Wehrwein, 28, of 126 Park St., Walworth, Wis., was killed late Tuesday when he lost control of his motorcycle while passing a car and struck a tree about one-half mile north of Harvard, McHenry County Deputy Coroner Jan Comer said Wednesday. Wehrwein was northbound on U.S. Highway 14 near Crowley Road when his motorcycle careened about 300 feet before hitting the tree on the left side of the highway, Comer said.
