A development of 35 loft condominiums and six new rowhouses has been announced for 2500 N. Bosworth Ave. at Altgeld Avenue, overlooking Wrightwood Park in Chicago’s West DePaul neighborhood.

Altgeld Commons is the newest community by Enterprise Development Co. It also includes eight custom-home sites, all of which have been sold, according to Ronald B. Shipka Jr., Enterprise director of marketing.

The four-story brick loft building, formerly used for manufacturing waterbed frames, has 11 floor plans created by architect Pat Fitzgerald.

Shipka said the lofts range from 1,100 to 1,400 square feet and include fireplaces, 13-foot ceilings, balconies, secured parking and a common-area roof deck.

The brick and masonry rowhouses will have two-car garages and family rooms on the first floor. The second floor wil have a living room with fireplace, dining room and kitchen; the third level will have two or three bedrooms. All units have 2 1/2 baths and outside patios.

Four of the residences are 1,900 square feet priced at $250,000, according to Shipka. The two end units of 2,250 square feet will sell for $295,000, he said.
