A 30-year-old St. Charles Township man was charged with driving under the influence, illegal transportation of open alcohol and unlawful possession of cannabis following a citizen’s complaint about his driving, police said. Christopher J. Olson of 4 N 257 Illinois Highway 25, was arrested about 8:50 p.m. Friday just as he was pulling into his driveway. Police said a motorist telephoned to report Olson’s car crossed the center line several times and nearly hit a tree. An officer found an open beer and a plastic bag containing between about 5 grams of marijuana in Olson’s vehicle, according to police.
