A 16-year-old girl was treated Monday at Edward Hospital and released after she was struck by a car while crossing Washington Street at Chicago Avenue, authorities said. Eric J. Parker, 17, of 361 Sycamore Drive was cited for disobeying a traffic signal, police said. Parker allegedly was turning left on a red light from Chicago to Washington when he struck the girl, police said.
