Like their male counterparts, most female Brazilian soccer players go by one name only. Thursday’s starting lineup in the semifinal against Norway included Meg, Suzy, Fanta and Sissi.

There is one notable exception, however: 32-year-old forward Michael Jackson, who subbed into the game in the second half. Michael, or Jackson, apparently adopted the name after being told she resembled the pop singer.
