The DuPage County Plat Committee has given initial approval to a six-lot subdivision on the north side of Butterfield Road just west of White Birch Lane in unincorporated Wheaton.
Developer Tim Wilson wants to build a new street, Wendelin Court, to serve the six homes he would build on the nearly 5-acre tract at 26W016 Butterfield Rd. Originally, Wilson proposed a seven-lot development, but the Plat Committee rejected the request, bowing to neighbors’ concerns for an on-site wetland.
Though not inside Wheaton’s boundaries, the site is within Wheaton’s planning jurisdiction.
