Frank J. Grana, 84, a lifetime resident of Norwood Park, died Monday at his home. Mr. Grana worked for 25 years as a mechanic at the Diamond T Motor Car Co. in Chicago. After that, Mr. Grana he worked as a driver for the Illinois Department of Mental Health. He was active for 40 years in The Imperials, a drum and bugle corps in Norwood Park for children and teens. All five of his children were members of the corps, and Mr. Grana served on the board of directors. Mr. Grana is survived by his wife, Caroline; four sons, Gregory, Hank, Tom and Francis; a daughter, Marie Czapinski; a brother; two sisters; 15 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren. Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday in the M.J. Suerth Funeral Home, 6754 N. Northwest Highway, Chicago.
