More than $125 in damage was reported Monday to a dual parking meter at 1799 Green Bay Rd. by someone who poured a corrosive liquid on it. Highland Park police said the unidentified liquid caused the surface of the meter to peel. Because entry to the meter’s coin box was not attempted, police believe the incident was purely an act of vandalism.
