A 21-year-old man was critically wounded near Ford City Mall overnight on the city’s Southwest Side, Chicago police reported.
Shortly before 3 a.m. Saturday, the victim was standing outside in the 7600 block of South Cicero Avenue when someone approached him and pulled out a firearm, police said.
The gunman fire shots toward the victim, striking the victim in the head before fleeing the scene in a red SUV. The victim was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn where he was listed in critical condition, police said.
Detectives are investigating.
