A referendum to determine if unincorporated Plum Grove Estates should be annexed into the Rolling Meadows Park District was resoundingly defeated by voters, according to unofficial returns.
The referendum got 62 “Yes” votes and 202 “No” votes within Plum Grove Estates, according to William Huley, one of the spokesmen for the opponents.
The proposal was voted on separately by residents of the Rolling Meadows Park District and by residents of Plum Grove Estates. Each group had to approve the annexation for it to take place, according to Park District officials.
