Grand Metropolitan PLC acknowledged it has had talks with Chicago-based Sara Lee Corp. about selling its U.K. frozen-cakes businesses, Memory Lane Cakes and Fleur de Lys. Both are on a list of European food operations that Grand Met pegged for disposal after a strategic review last year.
