The American Lung Association-Lake County is taking registration for its Camp Superkids.
Camp Superkids is a weeklong camp for children who suffer from severe asthma. It offers children ages 8 to 12 an opportunity to enjoy outdoor activities they may otherwise be discouraged from participating in because of their asthma.
The camp is staffed 24 hours a day by physicians, registered nurses and a respiratory therapist to meet the needs of the campers. The children sleep in air-conditioned cabins.
Camp Superkids will run from July 20 to 26 in a Scout camp near Metamora, Ill. Call 847-295-5864.
