Students from Lake Forest High School’s chapter of Students Against Drunk Driving are observing April as Alcohol Awareness Month by helping to host a special demonstration to teach classmates and the community about the dangerous impact of drunken driving.

Chrysler Corp., through the funding of Knauz Moters of Lake Forest, is assisting the students by making available a specially equipped vehicle called the “Neon Drunk Driving Simulator.”

The simulator can electronically program a driver’s weight and a student’s hypothetical number of drinks consumed to exhibit the slowed responses of drivers under the influence of alcohol.

The event is being sponsored by Lake Forest Hospital.
