Roseanne has again lashed out at ABC, which will kiss her sitcom goodbye next month.
In an interview with Broadcasting & Cable magazine, the comic, speaking of the ABC brass, says, “For years, they treated this show as if it were a liability instead of the only show to win on the nights they win. . . . They treated me like I was a liability.”
Roseanne slams the network for moving her show around the schedule, not giving it promotional support and not pairing it with quality compatible programming.
As for the rumored “Roseanne” spinoff, the star said she asked ABC to “make me an offer I can’t refuse.” Instead, she said, “they made me an offer I could refuse.”
An ABC spokeswoman said that Roseanne had done a “tremendous job” for the network and that they wished her “the best of luck” with her career.
