James T. Callahan, 76, a former Chicago firefighter, died last Thursday at his Chicago home. Mr. Callahan served four years as an electrician aboard the U.S.S. Natoma Bay in World War II. He worked as a firefighter for 30 years. Survivors include his wife, Alvina; two sons, Thomas and Michael; and a brother. Visitation will be from 2 to 9 p.m. Wednesday in Skaja Terrace Funeral Home, 7812 Milwaukee Ave. Mass will be said at 10 a.m. May 1 in St. Robert Bellarmine Catholic Church, 4646 N. Austin Blvd.
