Some say the only thing more overrated is natural childbirth, but the attraction of owning one’s own business turns thousands of Americans from corporate pawns into entrepreneurs.

More than 7,500 of those entrepreneurs are expected to attend the Chicagoland Small Business Expo in Festival Hall at Navy Pier.

The event will be open from 9:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday and 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday. Tickets are $10.

The expo is sponsored by the Chicagoland Chamber of Commerce in partnership with the Small Business Administration. For tickets, call 312-494-6761.
