Guadelupe Aguilar, convicted last month with co-defendant Robert Casillas in the murders of a couple in their jewelry store during a robbery, was sentenced Thursday to life in prison without parole.

Prosecutors said that on Feb. 24, 1989, Aguilar, 41, and Casillas, 33, went into Key Jewelers, 6903 N. Clark St., where Chang Choi, 48, and his wife, Myung He Choi, 43, were working. Casillas shot Choi and then turned the gun on Choi’s wife as she tried to trigger an alarm.
