Goldie Franklin, 77, a former Chicago resident, died Friday in Northwest Regional Hospital in Margate, Fla. Mrs. Franklin lived in Chicago for most of her life before moving to Florida 20 years ago. She worked for the Chicago Park District as the secretary to the director of Lincoln Park. Mrs. Franklin served as the co-chairwoman of Women for Daley, supporting the late Mayor Richard J. Daley. She was also active in Abe Saperstein City of Hope Chapter and the Gale School PTA. Survivors include a daughter, Joyce Leviton; a sister; and several grandchildren. Graveside services will be at held 1:30 p.m. Monday in Westlawn Cemetery, 7800 W. Montrose Ave., Norridge.
