The city Board of Local Improvements is proposing $1.5 million in capital improvements to be completed over the next five years.

The program involves drainage improvements throughout the city, street reconstruction, sanitary and sewer work, sidewalk replacement, utility improvements and more.

Areas slated for drainage work include 90th Avenue and 92nd Street; 89th Street and 83rd Court; 87th and North and South Streets; and 83rd and 86th Court.

Street reconstruction zones include north of 87th Street; 81st Court; 81st Avenue and 80th Court; south of 95th Street through 76th Avenue; 78th Court and 79th Avenue.
