Police charged a 23-year-old North Chicago man with possession of marijuana Sunday after police stopped his van for an equipment violation on U.S. Highway 45. Officers stopped Elijah L. Muhammad, of 2333 Sherman Ave., for driving a van with tinted windows and during a routine check of the vehicle found a plastic bag containing 3 grams of marijuana.
