The Elgin, Joliet and Eastern Railway Company will be closing off a segment of Milwaukee Avenue Oct. 3 for scheduled improvements.
The segment near Frank’s Nursery and Acura of Libertyville will be closed for repairs to the EJ&E rail crossing.
The designated detours will be Illinois Highway 176, St. Mary’s Road and Illinois Highway 60. The project will begin at 8 a.m. Oct. 3 and end at 6 p.m. Oct. 7.
