Representatives of historic preservation groups from throughout the county met Wednesday to discuss how to get preservation ordinances on the books in their communities.

It was the second meeting for the representatives from Spring Grove, Richmond, Crystal Lake, McHenry and other communities, who first gathered together in February to organize an informal think tank. The group has now been formalized as the Joint Council of Historic Groups.
