Mitchell Przetacznik, 75, a Army veteran and past grand knight of the Knights of Columbus McHenry Council 1288, died Saturday at the Veterans Administration Medical Center in North Chicago. Mr. Przetacznik, of McHenry, was born in Chicago. He worked for more than 30 years as an engineer supervisor for A.B. Dick in Niles. He served in the Army during World War II. He was a former district deputy of the Illinois State Knights of Columbus, a past faithful navigator of Bishop Boylan Assembly and a public relations director for the Knights of Columbus Illinois State Council Newspaper for the Rockford Diocese. In 1964, he was knighted by the late Bishop Lane. Mr. Przetacznik is survived by his wife, Rosemary; two sons, Thomas Pretz and Mitchell Przetacznik Jr.; five grandchildren; and a sister. Mass will be said at 10 a.m. Wednesday in St. John the Baptist Church, Johnsburg.
