Richardson Electronics Ltd. said its fiscal second-quarter net income rose 42 percent, to $2.7 million, or 22 cents per share, from $1.9 million, or 16 cents per share, a year earlier.
The LaFox-based maker of electron tubes and semiconductors said sales in the quarter ended Nov. 30 increased 27 percent, to a record $78.6 million.
For the six months Richardson’s income rose 41 percent, to $4.5 million, or 37 cents per share, from $3.2 million, or 27 cents per share.
