A decision on an injunction that would block the City of Chicago from making sweeps of Lower Wacker Drive to remove the homeless and their belongings could come at a court hearing Monday.

Lawyers for a group of homeless Chicagoans sought the injunction from U.S. District Judge Wayne Andersen after the city conducted a sweep Dec. 1, throwing away the personal belongings of the homeless people who live on Lower Wacker Drive. The sweeps, they argued, violated an agreement with the city requiring notice to the homeless before they are done.
