Nalco completes deal: Nalco Chemical Co., Naperville, completed the merger of its South African water-treatment business with that of South African concern Chemical Services Ltd. Terms weren’t disclosed. Nalco Chemical said it expects the merged entity, now called Nalco-Chemserve, to have 1998 sales of about $35 million. Chemical Services supplies specialty chemicals. Nalco Chemical makes and markets water treatment and process chemicals and services.
