The Chicago Children’s Museum is searching for courageous women and girls to honor in its “Brave Little Girls” exhibit, April 15 through Nov. 15. Boys and girls ages 8 to 14 can submit essays, artwork, photography or videos through March 24 explaining how a woman or girl has made a difference in their lives.

“In this day of superheroes, we want to have boys and girls examine heroic acts in everyday life to see the daily valor and accomplishments in all those around us,” says Dianne Sautter, president of the museum.

The traveling exhibit, sponsored by The Chicago Community Trust, The Richard Driehaus Foundation and Sears, Roebuck and Co. was designed by the National Museum of Women in the Arts, Washington. The exhibit features the stories of real-life and fictional heroines. All nominated girls and women and their nominators will be honored at a Chicago Children’s Museum reception and given a museum family pass. For an entry form, call: (312) 464-7748.
