Winifred “Una” Morley, 90, a native of Ireland, died Wednesday in her River Forest home. Mrs. Morley, the youngest in a family of eight children from Ardstrasna, Ballinful, in County Sligo, Ireland, sailed to New York at the age of 15 to work as a domestic servant, said her son, Michael. She married a fellow Irish immigrant, Michael Morley, a musician and tavern owner. Their son Michael produces the “Irish Journal” cable television show that covers Chicago’s Irish-American community. In addition to her son, she is survived by a sister, Betty Roche; five grandchildren; and a great-grandchild. Services were held last week.
