An Aurora woman was being held Monday in lieu of $50,000 bail at the Kane County Jail, a day after she was alleged to have stabbed her husband in the back. Ilda Sanchez, 34, of the 800 block of North Avenue, was charged with two counts of aggravated battery. Meanwhile, her husband, 38-year-old Jesus Reyes, was listed in good condition at Rush-Copley Medical Center. Police said Reyes, who was worried about Sanchez’s drinking, poured a beer she was drinking down the drain and was leaving the kitchen when Sanchez stabbed him in the back.
